Introduction to Dressmaking
Six week course. Thursday evenings 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Bridgnorth Endowed School; Northgate; Bridgnorth; WV16 4ER
Jennifer Bone BA hons, costume maker and bridal-wear designer, is looking to share her skills with Bridgnorth residents through a six week evening course at the Bridgnorth Endowed School. Jennifer, who has always had a love for all things textiles has worked in the theatre industry creating costumes for well known theatre and musical performances including West End favourite The Rat Pack and international Operas including an exclusive performance of La Traviata at The British Museum.
Jennifer has recently opened My little Wedding Shop in Bridgnorth where she uses her extensive talents to create stunning, one off wedding dresses for Shropshire brides. Following a number of requests by customers to the boutique, Jennifer has decided to put on dressmaking classes aimed at people who are new to dressmaking or would like a refresher to practice their dressmaking techniques with help and support.
"There is currently a renaissance in craft and creative techniques and there is limited opportunity for people to develop these skills within the local area." commented Jennifer "It is fantastic that Bridgnorth Endowed School has been so supportive in allowing me to run this course as this means local people can take part without having to travel far."
The course, which costs just £75 starts on Thursday 26 April from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and will run for six weeks. For further information or to book a place you can email Jennifer on
