Following on from the wonderful feature on Under the Vintage Veil, the English Wedding Blog has run a feature based on the Jubilee inspired shoot organised by Big Little Things. This feature picks up on the regal combination of Mitzi by Lyn Ashworth with accessories by Big Little Things. Take a peek at the feature on this fantastic blog and thank you to English Wedding Blog for supporting out little venture!
Under the Vintage Veil
The fab wedding blog, Under the Vintage Veil has featured a Jubliee Wedding Shoot put together by the brilliant Big Little Things which features my very own Harriet Wedding Dress!
Great pics from Meg Hawkins and a beautifully styled shoot thanks to Sarah and Fran at Big Little Things. All participants in this feature are Shropshire based, even the venue!
A few images from the fabulous Walcott Hall Wedding Fair on 28 April 2012. The moment was captured beautifully by Daniel Wedding Photography and the dresses and accessories, which are all available through My little Wedding Shop, were shown off by the stunning Shelley, Jess, Jodie and Janine.
The wedding fair was the first to be held at Walcot Hall, which is in the beautiful setting of South Shropshire and is available as a wedding venue. The day was very busy and included a bridal fashion show compared by organiser Julia Pugh and bridal wear from both my boutique and Castle Brides who are based in Bishops Castle.
I was thrilled with the interest in both the designer lines that I stock, but also the bespoke dresses and accessories that I offer. The Weddingtons went down especially well with a number of B2B trying on the odd pair that I had on my stand.
Huge thanks go out to my mum who was with me all day, helping organise the outfits, set up and pack away the stand and talking to visitors to the fair. Everyone at the fair was especially friendly and supportive especially Big Little Things who kept an eye on the stand while we were busy and even brought us a cup of tea.
Great day all round.
Vintage & Handmade Wedding Fair, Wolverhampton Art Gallery
This Saturday I spent the day in the wonderful surroundings of the Wolverhampton Art Gallery at their very first Vintage & Handmade Wedding Fair.
It was a lovely day listening to The Gramophone Man music as it floated around the fair and getting to know the array of talented creatives who were also exhibiting at the fair.
After setting out my stand which featured examples of my couture gowns from the new Vintage Rose Collection I had a wander and a chat with the other exhibitors in my area. I was thrilled to be next to two lovely ladies who specialise in Vintage Style Wedding Photography; HJ Wedding Photography process their wedding images to give them that sense of age and nostalgia that makes you want to keep on looking at the pictures; truly lovely.
I am over the moon at the positive response I received and the wonderful gasps of delight from visitors to my stand when they realised that the dresses on show were from my very own collection. So I would like to say a huge Welcome and thank you to all the new brides-to-be who will be visiting my Boutique in the near future.
I will share some of the links from the other businesses tomorrow including a very talented and bubbly venue dresser who, I hop, will soon be visiting My little Wedding Shop for a natter!
Most importantly, throughout the day I saw some familiar faces as a number of my brides-to-be with friends and H2B’s popped into the fair to get ideas and contacts for their Vintage themed weddings and took the time to come and say hello to me. So a special hello & thank you to Natalie and Pam! I hope you enjoyed the fair as much as I did!

The shoot featured Jennifer Bone dresses and Veils which are exclusive to My little Wedding Shop, Kate Slater Lace and Sue Lane Jewellery. The Flower Shop in Bridgnorth provided some incredible fresh flower bouquets and we had dresses from Lyn Ashworth, jewellery and accessories from Rosie Willet and shoes by harriet Wilde.
Don't update websites absent mindedly!
Thought I would make a few additions to my site this evening whilst watching Treasure island. An unfortunate mis interpretation of where I was in the control panel and I wiped the entire Bridal Boutique section of my site! oops doesn’t even cover it!
However, thanks to the ease of use of Big Black Bag, my site host, and my careful filing of web images and I have spent the evening re-building the page and we are back up and running!
Treasure Island has been on pause since my mistake, so now it is time to turn the computer of, settle down and concentrate on one thing at a time. Just need to find the remote…..

Have redressed the window, and the shop, for January 2012. Really pleased with the display of Harriet Wilde shoes in the window and I think the flowers add a little something to the Weddingtons!!
I think feedback on my window displays would be great. That way I can ensure my window are not only functional, but provide some interest for all the passers by!
Happy New Year with the Shropshire Review!
I hope you have all had a wonderful festive season and I would like to say a huge thanks to The Shropshire Review who have included a full page feature on me and My little Wedding Shop in the January edition.
Great start to 2012!
Have just completed this lovely faux fur shrug for December bride Hayley. We hope that Hayley has a wonderful wedding on December 29 and this little shrug keeps her warm on her big day!
